Suede is a versatile fabric, but you should always take care when sewing with suede as it can impactmyour final project. When cutting, position the fabric so the nap runs in the same direction to ensure consistency in both colour and appearance. It's also a good idea to protect your fabric with a protector spray before use to help repel dirt and liquid.
Taking Care Of Your Suede Upholstery Fabric
We do not recommend machine washing your suede project, and it is advised that you remove any spills promptly to prevent staining. Experts recommend dabbing rubbing alcohol on with a soft sponge or cloth, blotting the stain to lift it out of the fabric. Avoid using water, as this can damage the suede, and instead opt for suede cleaners and brushes. We also recommend that when you have completed your project, you protect it with a stain guard to prevent any future spills from damaging your fabric.
