What You'll Need
- Fabric
- Lightweight fusible interfacing (optional)
- Felt
- Ribbon (6-inch length)
- Embroidery thread
- Sewing thread
- Card for template (cut one piece of card 3 x 2.5 inches with corners snipped, and another 1.5 x 1.5 inches)
How to Make The Bookmark
This adorable gift is easy for any crafter to recreate. Start by pressing the fabric to remove any creases. Using the templates as a guide, cut your fabric into the required shapes. Use the smaller template to cut out a piece of felt, shaping it into a heart. Hand-stitch this little felt heart onto one of the tea bag pieces with embroidery thread. Place the ribbon between the fabrics (right sides together) and sew around the edge, leaving a gap to turn. Turn your creation right side out, press, and top-stitch around the edges for the perfect finishing touch. Pair your DIY bookmark with a new book to add to your mother's library.
