Enjoy The Comfort Of Heated Throws Made From Soft Fabrics

Heated throws are designed to bring both warmth and comfort to your space. Perfect for your sofa, armchair or even for when you're working from home, heated throws are much more lightweight when compared to heated blankets. Spotlight's heated throws are made from lighter materials and are typically smaller in size. Composed of soft, plush fabrics, these heated throws are both practical and stylish, elevating the cosiness of your space with ease.

Find Heated Throw Blankets With Different Control Options

Often our heated throws operate with a switch-like mechanism or button controls, which make it easy to alter the temperature of your heated throw to your preferences. At Spotlight, you can also find a range of multi-zone heated blankets and throws with separate "zones" and controls for your feet and body.

Heated Throws FAQs

Are heated throws safe?

When designed to meet the regulatory standards, heated throws are incredibly safe to use when snuggling up on the couch or layering your bed linen on a chillier winter evening.

How hot do heated throws get?

Spotlight's range of heated throws varies in terms of their heat range. Most often, heated throws can reach temperatures between 30 and 45 degrees Celsius.

Are heated throws expensive to run?

When compared to having your heater on all night, heated throws are a relatively cheaper approach to staying warm in the cooler months. In terms of your electricity bills, heated throws typically cost an additional 2-5 cents per hour, often equating to around 10-30 cents per night, resulting in around $15 to $50 to run your heated throw every night for a 3-month winter.

What is the difference between a heated throw and an electric blanket?

A heated throw is designed for use in the lounge room or office and often comes in many colours that you can choose from to match your home's interior design. They can be wrapped around you for full-body comfort! An electric blanket is designed to be laid flat on a bed, underneath your duvet and on top of your mattress protector. They aren't designed to be wrapped up and should be kept flat when in use, and come in cream or white, as they aren't meant to be seen as part of your bedroom decor.

How to wash a heated throw

Most heated throws can be machine washed, but there are a few precautions you'll need to take. Remove any cords and place the electric throw loosely into your washing machine before setting it to a gentle, low-heat cycle. Don't add any extra harsh chemicals or fabric softeners, and avoid a drying cycle by hang drying instead. Avoid hanging over a single line, as harsh folds can damage the internal wiring.
