CUT, HEM & HANG S-FOLD CURTAINS
Level: Intermediate
What you'll need:
- S-Fold Cut, Hem & Hang curtain fabric (allow extra for fullness - usually 2x the track width)
- S-fold curtain track
- S-Fold gliders
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing machine
- Iron (if using Blockout curtain fabric, to avoid damage to the acrylic coating, use a low dry iron and do not iron the coated reverse side)
Instructions
- Measure and Cut Fabric
Measure the width of your S-Fold track and multiply it by 1.8 to 2.0 for the perfect wave and fullness. Use this total to determine how much Cut, Hem & Hang S-Fold fabric you need. - Hem
Measure the curtain drop from the gliders on your S-Fold track to the floor. Hem the bottom of the curtain to finish just above the floor using either a double fold hem or adhesive hemming tape. Finish the curtain sides using the same method. - Hang
Attach S-Fold gathering hooks to the heading tape on your curtain. Then hang your finished curtain onto your S-Fold track using the gliders and hooks - available at your local Spotlight store.
