Preparation

Click 'customise' to open design on 'canvas' tab, so you can resize according to your measurements. Add any other elements from 'image' selection on the left toolbar. If you want to change the names on the envelope, you will need to edit the name word in the 'layers' section on the right drop-down of the canvas. In the highlighted group of layers, click on the first attachment dropdown to reveal the text option and the delivery stamp image option. Click on the text option to change the name word and use same font or choose your own 'font' from the top tool bar. To change the colour of any elements, select your element and change the colour in the 'Operation' function of the top tool bar. When you are happy with your design, click 'make' on top tool bar and follow prompts to connect your Cricut smart cutting machine.
Cut
- Cut - Click 'Make' button and then choose 'On Mat' for cardstock and 'everyday iron-on 'toggle 'mirror' and choose 'Without Mat' for Matless Smart iron-on, click 'continue'. Follow prompts for material selection load scoring stylus or scoring tool into clamp A and fine point blade in clamp B. Follow order of project and align cardstock on Cricut cutting mat. Your Cricut cutting machine will score and cut out the cardstock designs for card and envelopes. Then load iron-on (shiny side down) and follow prompts to cut. When cutting is complete, remove from cutting machine and set aside.
Assemble
- Weed - For cricut iron-on, remove the negative iron-on vinyl from the backing with a weeding tool. Simply hook the weeding tool into the iron-on vinyl in an area outside the design, then carefully peel it off to reveal your design ready to be transferred onto your card and envelope.
- Press - On the design space 'Home' tab on the left side tool bar look for 3 squiggly lines Click on this it will take you to the Cricut heat guide. Select your EasyPress model, heat transfer material, and base material. This will provide you with precise instructions for best heat press results. Follow these instructions, align the iron-on name design (backing up) on the back of the red cardstock envelope, when you are happy with the placement, press to apply design!
- Press - Using the EasyPress Mini, lightly rub iron-on onto the envelope for about 7-10 seconds, just long enough for the Iron-On to adhere to the envelope. Peel off while the liner is still warm. Carefully, low and slow to ensure its adhered evenly to the cardstock.
- Weed - Remove the negative cardstock from the mat. Then, simply peel the cardstock cutouts off the mat to reveal your card and envelope elements ready to be glued together.
Hot Tip: Flip mat over and peel mat back away from the cardstock, to avoid and wrinkles or folds and maintain integrity. Repeat this process for all cardstock elements. - Envelope assembly - Fold the envelope along the score lines, ensuring the bottom third rectangle has been folded towards the inside of the envelope, along with the two slim side pieces. Glue the bottom third of the envelope onto the two slim side pieces, creating a place for the card to sit inside the envelope.
- Card assembly - Fold the card in half along the score lines. Glue the stamp cutout to the outside of the card. Once the glued edges of the envelope are fully dry, your card is ready to be placed inside the envelope.
- Write a positive message and seal your personalised card in your envelope to share with those students to encourage them in their studies!
