DAISY BALLOON PARTY BACKDROP
Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- 12" latex balloons (pastel colours - for petals)
- 12" yellow balloons (for centres)
- Electric balloon pump
- Spartys Balloon Sizer Box
- Spartys Backdrop Frame (Circle)
Instructions
Step 1: Inflate Balloons for the Petals
- Inflate all petal balloons to the same size (roughly 7' or 8') using the Electric balloon pump and SPARTYS Balloon Sizer.
- Tip: Do not inflate too large - oversized balloons make the flower harder to assemble.
- Consistent sizing is essential for a neat, balanced flower.
Step 2: Make Duplets (Pairs)
- Tie two balloons together to form one duplet.
- You will need two duplets (4 balloons total) for the petals at this stage.
Step 3: Add the 5th Petal
- Inflate one additional balloon to the same size.
- Attach it to one of the duplets.
- You will now have:
- 1 duplet (2 balloons)
- 1 triplet (3 balloons)
Step 4: Create the 5-Petal Base
- Twist the duplet and triplet together.
- This forms one 5-balloon cluster (the petal base).
Step 5: Repeat Petal Base
- Repeat Steps 1-4 to create a second 5-balloon cluster.
- Ensure both clusters are the same colour and size.
Step 6: Inflate Balloons for the Flower Centre
- Inflate two balloons for the centre of the flower.
- Size them slightly smaller than the petal balloons (roughly 5'), using the SPARTYS Balloon Sizer.
- Tie these two balloons together to make one centre duplet.
Step 7: Assemble the Flower
- Lay both 5-petal clusters flat (may require 2 people for this step)
- Stack one directly on top of the other.
- Take the smaller centre duplet and feed one balloon through the middle of the stacked petals.
- Stretch until the second centre balloon passes through to the opposite side.
- This locks everything together and forms a complete balloon flower.
Step 8: Attach the Flower to the Frame
- Feed the completed flower through the pole of the Spartys Backdrop Frame, using the centre of the flower.
- Repeat with additional flowers until the frame is filled as desired.
