Design

Open this Cricut Design Space link https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6a0293d8e715ed7c9a6ef18e or search for "There's a Ghost in This House Book Week Costume" in the Cricut Design Space app.

1. Click 'customise' to open design on 'canvas' tab, so you can personalise and resize according to your blanks. Add any other elements or text as you wish. When you are happy with your design, click 'make' on top tool bar and follow the prompts to connect your Cricut smart cutting machine.

Cut

1. Felt: Place felt on the cutting mat, tape each felt sheet down with masking tape or washi tape prior to cutting the felt.
2. Click 'Material Load Type' dropdown and then Choose 'With Mat' for Felt. Then choose 'Grois Point' for your material from the list and follow prompts to load material into your Cricut smart cutting machine. Replace the fine point blade with rotary blade for felt projects. Follow prompts and watch as your Cricut machine cuts out the design. When its finished, unload material and set aside.
3. Iron-on Cut: Click 'Material Load Type' dropdown and then Choose 'Without Mat' for Matless Smart Iron-on or 'With Mat' for Iron-on. Choose your material and follow prompts to load material into your Cricut smart cutting machine - shiny side down with design mirrored.

Assembly

Assemble Iron-on

1. Weed - Remove the negative of the iron-on design from the backing with a weeding tool. Simply hook the weeding tool into the iron-on in an area outside the design, then carefully peel away from backing to reveal your iron on design ready to press on your frames.
2. Press - On the Design Space 'Home' tab on the left side tool bar look for 3 squiggly lines Click on this it will take you to the Cricut heat guide. Select your Cricut EasyPress model, heat transfer material, and base material. This will provide you with precise instructions for best heat press results. Follow these instructions, place your skirt on the Cricut heat mat, align the iron-on design (backing up), when you are happy with the placement, press to apply design! Then do the same with the felt ghosts and headband ghost face piece.
3. Follow directions for warm or cool peel in heat guide and carefully peel back iron-on backing to reveal your design.

Assemble Felt Belt and Headband

1. Gather all your felt pieces and ribbon together and warm up your hot glue gun or get your sewing machine ready. Carefully stick or pin and then sew the mini ghosts to the ribbon to create your belt!
2. Glue the felt piece to headband and clamp until dry.
