MARVEL 12PLY TOP HAT
Level: Intermediate
What you'll need:
- 4 Seasons Marvel 12 Ply Bulky 100g Yarn Balls:
- Ruby (MC) x 1
- White (CC) x 1
- Size 4mm crochet hook or size required to achieve correct tension
- 1 removable stitch marker
- 20cm x 48-52cm craft foam in white for shaping cylinder hat (depending on head circumference)
- Short length of ribbon
- Yarn needle, tape measure, scissors
Measurements
Fits head circumference approx. 48cm - 52cm (6 - 10yo).
Tension
15sts and 12 rnds to 10cm over htr patt using 4mm hook.
Project made up using smaller hook than stated on ball band to achieve firm tension.

Special Abbreviations / Stitches
htr2tog - half treble 2sts tog - *yoh, insert hook in next st, yoh and pull up a loop*, rep on next st ... 5 loops on hook, yoh and pull through all 5 loops.
BLO - back loop only
Note: Hat worked in continuous rounds. Place stitch marker on last st of first rnd, remove and replace on every round to end of project.
Changing colour in crochet - begin any crochet stitch using current colour to last yo which will finish the stitch, now change to next colour and finish off.

Finishing
Sew in all ends.
Sew short end of craft foam together making a cylinder. Insert into Hat just above beg of Brim and stitch in place close to Brim. Using ribbon, make a bow at front of Hat.
