Special Stitches

trdec = Decrease one stitch as follows - yo hook, insert hook in the next stitch, draw up a loop, insert hook in the next stitch and draw up a loop, yo hook, draw through 3 loops, yo hook, draw through 2 loops.

yo-sl st = yo hook, insert in next st, draw loop through all 3 loops.

Note: Only add a new ball at the end of a row to avoid neaten in this pattern.

Band worked sideways. Yo-sl st, forms 3 loops, the back loop is the third loop when looking at your work after turning.

Foundation Ch: Make 11 ch.

1st Row(WS) - 1yo-slst in 2nd ch from hook, 1yo-slst in each ch to the end. 10sts.

2nd Row - 1ch, 1yo-slst in the back loop of each st to the end. 10 sts.

Repeat the last row for 92(102-112) Rows, Do not Fasten off.

Body

The body is worked along the side of the band, by working a dc in the last st worked, then 1dc in each row along the side.

1st Row(RS) - Work 93(103-113)dc evenly across the side of the rib.

2nd Row(WS) - 3ch(counts as first st) 1tr in each st to the end. Turn.

Commence Pattern

3rd Row(RS) - 3ch(counts as first st) 1tr in the next 5 sts, *1ch, sk 1 st, 1tr in the next 9 sts, repeat from * to the last 7 sts, 1ch, sk1st, 1tr in the last 6 sts. Turn.

Band

Foundation Ch: Using Col1, make 11 ch.

1st Row(WS) - 1Yo-slst in 2nd ch from hook, 1yo-slst in each ch to the end. 10sts.

2nd Row - 1ch, 1Yo-slst in the back loop of each st to the end. 10 sts.

Repeat the last row for 64(72-80) Rows, Do not Fasten off.

The body is worked along the side of the band, by working a dc in the last st worked, then 1dc in each row along the side, with addition dcs worked evenly along to increase stitch count.

1st Row(RS) - Work 73(83-93)dc evenly across the side of the rib.

2nd Row(WS) - 3ch(counts as first st) 1tr in each st to the end. Turn.

Commence Pattern

Work same as for back to complete 24rows.

Raglan Shaping

1st Row(RS) - Sl st in the first 7 sts, 3ch(Counts as first st) Pattern to the last 6 sts, turn. 61sts.

2nd Row (WS) - 3ch(counts as first st) 1trdec, 1tr, pattern to last 3 sts, 1trdec, 1tr.**

Repeat the last row to decrease 1 st each end of every row until 19 sts remain. Fasten off.

Finishing

With right sides facing, pin and crochet sleeve seams and side seams, as follows:

Starting at the armhole shaping, draw up a loop, 1ch, 1dc in first row, 2ch, 1dc in next row, continue to the last row of the pattern, 1ch, 1dc in every second st of the band. Fasten off.

Join the raglan shaping of the sleeves to the body in the same way, with 2dc in the last row. Fasten off.

Neck Band

Draw up a loop, at a back raglan join, work 1ch, then 1dc in each st around the neckline, with 17dc worked evenly along the front next shaping, sl st in the first dc of the round.

Neck band is now worked sideways as follows:

Foundation Chain - Make 7ch

1st Row - 1yo-slst in 2nd ch from hook, 1yo-slst in each ch to the end. 6sts, sl st in next 2 dc around the neckline, turn.

2nd Row - 1ch, 1yo-slst in the back loop of each of the 6 yo sts to the end. 6 sts. Turn.

Repeat the last 2 rows until all dc around the neck line have been worked in ending with a 2nd row.

Fasten off leave a 30cm tail and sew to the first row of the band.

Weave in loose ends.
