Instructions
Pattern
Row 1: *k1, p1*
Row 2: *k2, p2*
Row 3: *k3,p3*
Row 4: *k4, p4* etc, etc.....adding 1 stitch every row.
When all sts are knit, start from Row 1 again. Continue like this for the complete back piece. This will create the texture
Back
Cast on 96-104-112-118-136-146 sts and work rib *k2, p2* 5 cm. Continue in 'Pattern' (see above).
When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39-40 cm, increase 2 sts in each side for sleeve-seams = 100-108-116-122-140-146-150 sts. When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm, cast off the middle 34-34-36-36-38-38 sts and each shoulder is finished separately = 33-37-40-43-51-56 sts left on each shoulder.
Continue with garter stitch over the outermost 7 sts (k all rows) towards the neck and stocking stitch over the remaining sts. When the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm, cast off. Work the other shoulder.
Right Front
The outermost 7 stitches towards mid front = bands, worked in garter stitch (k all rows).
When working the right front piece you also work buttonholes on the band as follows: 1 buttonhole = cast off the 3rd and 4th st from the edge. On the next row, cast on 2 new sts over the cast-off sts. Starting after approx. 1 cm - then every 8-10 cm depending on the size you are knitting.
Cast on 55-59-63-67-75-81 sts (incl 7 sts for the band) and work rib *k2, p2* 5 cm at the same time as you work the band. After the rib is finished, continue in same 'Pattern' as back. Please note: due to less sts the front, the pattern will look different from the back. When the piece measures 28-29-30-31-31-32 cm, start to decrease for V-neck: Decrease 1 sts every 2nd row until you have 31-35-38-41-49-54- sts. When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39-40 cm, increase 2 sts for the sleeve-seam towards the armhole. When the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm, cast off.
Left Front
Work as for right front piece, but without buttonholes and with the band at the other end of the row.
Sleeve
Cast on 52-56-60-62-66-70 sts on 4mm and work rib *k2, p2* for 5 cm. Change to 5mm, continue in 'Pattern' and increase 30 sts evenly spaced = 82-86-90-92-96-100 sts.
When the piece measures 25 cm in all sizes, decrease 1 sts in each side and repeat this decrease every 4th until you have 74-80-84-88-94-96 sts. When piece measures 52-52-51-49-47-45 cm, cast off. (shorter measurements in larger sizes due to broader shoulders) Work the other sleeve.
