Note: When joining in a new ball of yarn, take care to join at side edges only and to match the colour previously used. This may require winding off some yarn from the new ball of yarn until the required colour is reached.

Beanie

Using 4mm knitting needles, cast on 113 sts.

1st row (RS) - K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.

2nd row - P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.

Last 2 rows form rib.

Cont in rib until work measures 19cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.

Shape Crown -

1st row (RS) - Rib 6, * K3tog, P1, (K1, P1) 5 times, rep from * 6 times more, K3tog, rib to end ... 97 sts.

Work 3 rows rib.

5th row (RS) - Rib 6, * K3tog, P1, (K1, P1) 4 times, rep from * 6 times more, K3tog, rib to end ... 81 sts.

Work 3 rows rib.

9th row (RS) - Rib 4, * K3tog, P1, (K1, P1) 3 times, rep from * 6 times more, K3tog, rib to end ... 65 sts.

Work 3 rows rib.

13th row (RS) - Rib 4, * K3tog, P1, (K1, P1) twice, rep from * 6 times more, K3tog, rib to end ... 49 sts.

Work 3 rows rib.

17th row (RS) - K1, * K2tog, rep from * to end ... 25sts.

Break off yarn, leaving a long end. Thread yarn through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.

Finishing

DO NOT PRESS. Using half mattress stitch and long end left at crown, join side edges tog to form centre back seam.

Infinity Scarf

Using 4mm needles, cast on 117 sts.

Work in stocking st until work measures 80cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Cast off loosely.

Using mattress stitch, join side edges tog.

Place seam at centre back of work.

Twist work in centre of scarf as pictured.

Using mattress st, join cast on and cast-off edges tog.

Finishing

DO NOT PRESS.
