CHRISTMAS XMAS CUTLERY HOLDER
Level: Intermediate
What You'll Need:
- Christmas quilting fabric:
- 1 strip of fabric 16" x 5" for the back and outside of the pocket
- 1 strip of fabric 16" x 5" for the front and inside of the pocket
- Coordinating cotton thread
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing needle
- Sewing machine
- Iron and iron board
- Blunt tool for corners (e.g. a bamboo stick or chopstick)
Instructions
- Cut 2 strips 16" x 5" from each of your fabrics.
- Place fabric strips right sides together, pin the sides and bottom and sew around the edges with 1/4" allowance.
- Turn fabrics right side out.
- Push corners out with the blunt tool and press the strips with an iron.
- Fold the raw top inside 1/4" and press.
- Fold the bottom 5 1/2" up.
- Pin the sides along the folded fabric and sew all around the pocket with 1/8" allowance.
