CHRISTMAS SCANDI TREE ORNAMENTS

Preparation and Cutting

Step 1

Tree: Cut 2 pieces of 10cm wide by 13cm high from Christmas printed cotton fabric. Cut 1 piece of 10cm wide by 13cm high from fusible wadding & Vliesofix

Star: Cut 2 x 12cm squares from Christmas printed cotton fabric. Cut 1 x 12cm square from fusible wadding & Vliesofix

Step 2

Fuse wadding to the back of one of the fabric pieces.

Fuse Vliesofix to the back of the remaining fabric piece. Once cooled, peel of backing paper and place glue side down on top of the wadding side of the other fabric piece, aligning side edges. Press with iron to fuse all layers together. Allow to cool.

Step 3

Using template provided, trace ornament shape on to one of the fabric sides with a washable pencil/marker.

Starting at the top point of shape, top stitch fabric, 5mm in from the shape outline.

Cut out shape along pencil/marker outline. Press shape flat.

Step 4

Using a large thick hand needle, make a small hole just below top stitching at the top point.

Cut a 25cm length of rope/twine. Thread length through hole and tie ends in a tight secure knot.
