Note: This template has been scaled. You will need to print this template at actual size and blow it up by 155% to make it full size.

  1. Using template provided, make a pattern of the whole tree onto either paper or card.
  2. With right sides facing, fold the fabric in half, lay flat with the wrong side face up. Trace around the tree pattern with a washable marker or pencil onto the wrong side of the fabric. Trace another 2x trees onto the fabric, allowing at least 4cm in between each.
  3. Pin the layers of fabric together around outline of tree shapes. Cut out each tree shapes 1- 1.5cm out from the tree outline. This will be your seam allowance.
  4. Sew each of the tree shapes together along the marked tree outline, leaving a 5cm gap along the middle of the base of each side of the tree.
  5. Trim and clip seam & corners, turn right way out. Press flat, with the openings' seam allowance pressed to the inside. Layer all three tree shapes together, aligning all outer edges. Pin and sew trees together vertically through the centre of the tree shapes.
  6. Stuff each tree shape to desired fullness through the openings at the base of the trees. Hand sew openings closed.
  7. Cut ribbon into 2 x 75cm lengths. Make a bow in the middle of each length and hand sew to the top of the fabric tree.
