CHRISTMAS GLITTER GIFT BAGS

Instructions

Cut:

• Outer: 2 x bag panels, 21 cm x 26 cm
• Lining: 2 x bag panels, 21 cm x 26 cm

Construction:

1. Join the sides and bottom of the outer bag with a 1 cm seam allowance.
2. Repeat for the lining, leaving a gap in the bottom seam for turning.
3. Sew across the corners of both the outer and lining pieces to create a flat base.
4. Place the lining inside the outer bag with right sides together and sew around the top edge.
5. Turn the bag through the gap in the lining, close the gap, and press the top edge.
6. Topstitch around the top of the bag.

Finishing:

• Create four 1 cm buttonholes at the top of the bag, positioned 1 cm down from the top edge and 7 cm from each side seam, for threading the tie.
• Cut open the buttonholes and thread ribbon through to form the tie.
