CARLY ALTREE-WILLIAMS WATERCOLOUR GARLAND

Carly Altree-Williams Watercolour Garland Project

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 'Papercraft' adhesive dot
  • 'Birch' polyester thread white - 500m
  • 'AC Cardstock' white
  • 'Royal Langnickel' start in art watercolour painting set
  • 'Princeton' Snap Flow Short handled watercolour brush multi-coloured size 8
  • Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Cut out 12 large circles and 12 small circles from the white cardstock - they don't have to be perfect.

Step 2 - Decide on your theme, we chose flowers but stripes, spots or words also work well.

Step 3 - Use a sparing amount of watercolour to create your designs. Water colours create lovely organic shapes that work perfectly for this garland project. You might like to put all your circles together and run your design across more than one
circle.

Step 4 - Make sure your circles are dry. Lay them out in the order you'd like them to hang and cut a length of thread slightly
longer. Attach thread to the back of circles using adhesive dots. Voila! Your garland is now ready to hang!
