HELMET

Using 5.00mm hook, MC and yarn doubled, make 3ch.

Round 1: Miss 2ch, 8tr into next ch.
Round 2: 2ch, * 2ftr in next st, 2htr in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in top of 2ch at beg ... 16 sts.
Round 3: 2ch, * ftr in each of next 2 sts, 2htr in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end, sl st in top of 2ch at beg ... 24 sts.
Round 4: 2ch, * ftr in each of next 2 sts, 1htr in next st, 2htr in each of next 2 sts, 1htr in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in top of 2ch at beg ... 32 sts.
Round 5: 2ch, * ftr in each of next 2 sts, 1htr in next st, 2htr in next st, 1htr in each of next 2 sts, 2htr in next st, 1htr in next st, rep from * to end, sl st in top of 2ch at beg ... 40 sts.

HORN (Make 2)

Note: Do not join at the end of each round, but work in continuous rounds. Placing a marker at the beg of each round.

Using 5.00mm hook, CC and yarn doubled, make 2ch, leaving a long length of yarn for weaving down and keeping this yarn to the outside of work.

Round 1: Miss 1ch, 4dc into next ch.
Round 2:1dc into each st.
Round 3: * 1dc into next st, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 6 sts.
Round 4: As round 3 ... 9 sts.
Round 5 and foll Alt Rounds: As round 2.
Round 6: * 1dc into each of next 2 sts, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 12 sts.
Round 8: * 1dc into each of next 3 sts, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 15 sts.
Round 10: * 1dc into each of next 4 sts, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 18 sts.
Round 12: * 1dc into each of next 5 sts, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 21 sts.
Round 14: * 1dc into each of next 6 sts, 2dc into next st, rep from * to end ... 24 sts.
Rounds 15 and 16: As round 2. Break off CC and join in MC.
Round 17: Working into front loops only, * 2dc in next st, 1dc into each of next 3 sts, rep from * to end ... 30 sts.
Round 18: * 2dc in next st, 1dc into each of next 4 sts, rep from * to end ... 36 sts.
Round 19: As round 2.
Round 20: * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * to end ... 30 sts.
Round 21: * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * to end ... 24 sts. Fasten off.

MAKE UP

Fold MC section of Horn onto wrong side and sl st into position along back loops of CC section. Fill Horn with Hobby Fill and sew in position to each side of Helmet. Using the long length at tip of Horn, weave down the side of Horn from tip to base, and pull lightly to curl, then secure end. Sew in all ends.
