PONY 4PLY UNICORN RAINBOW SCARF
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- '4 Seasons' Pony 4ply 50g x 1 ball each 1st Colour (C1) Purple, 2nd Colour (C2) Aqua, 3rd Colour (C3) Green, 4th Contrast (C4) Yellow, 5th Colour (C5) Orange, and 6th Colour (C6) Pink.
- A circular 4mm knitting needle (80cm long), or size required for correct tension
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
MEASUREMENTS
W22cm x L120cm
TENSION
19 sts x 30 rows to 10cm over patt, using 4mm needles.
INSTRUCTIONS
SCARF (worked sideways)
Note -A circular needles has been used to accommodate the large number of sts.
Work in rows not rounds.
Using C1, cast on 228 sts loosely.
Foundation row (WS) - Knit.
BEG PATT
1st row(RS) - Knit, winding yarn twice around needle for each st.
2nd row- Purl, dropping extra loop off needle for each st. Knit 2 rows garter st. Using C2, Knit 2 rows garter st.
Rep 1st and 2nd rows once.
Knit 2 rows garter st.
Last 6 rows form patt.
Cont in patt, working in stripes of 6 rows C3, 6 rows C4, 6 rows C5, 6 rows C6, 6 rows C5, 6 rows C4, 6 rows C3, 6 rows C2 and 6 rows C1. Using C1, cast off loosely purlways.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Wind C1 around a piece of cardboard 15cm long and cut along one edge. Using crochet hook and 4 strands of C1, make 2 tassels in each end of C1 stripes. Repeat with each subsequent colour matching tassels to stripes as before.
