WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• '4 Seasons' Brighton Cotton Blend 8 Ply 50g ball x 1 each of 4 Colours (C1, C2, C3 and C4) (The amount of yarn stated will make approx 24 coasters)
• One each 3.50mm and 4mm crochet hook.
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

COASTERS

Oblong

Using 4mm hook and C1, make 42 ch. Change to 3.50mm hook and working into the loop at the back of ch, work as folls -1st row - Miss 3ch, 1tr in next ch, 5tr in each of next 2ch, 1tr in each of next 18ch, 5tr in each of next 2ch, 1tr in each of next 16ch. Do not join, fasten off and break off yarn leaving and end long enough for joining. Make another Oblong, using C2.

Rectangle

Using 4.00mm hook and C3, make 42 ch. Change to 3.50mm hook and working into the loop at the back of ch, work as folls -1st row - Miss 3ch, 1tr in next ch, 5tr in next ch, 1tr in each of next 6ch, 5tr in next ch, 1tr in each of next 12ch, 5tr in next ch, 1tr in each of next 6ch, 5tr in next ch, 1tr in each of next 10ch. Do not join, fasten off and break off yarn leaving and end long enough for joining. Make another Rectangle, using C4.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Join the ends of C1 Oblong shapes. Following the diagram, weave the C2 Oblong shape as shown, then weave the Rectangle shapes. It is best to pin the ends together until all the shapes have been woven, to ensure that they have been woven correctly, then join all ends. Sew in ends.
