MAKE YOUR OWN FOAM SOLAR SYSTEM MOBILE

NSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Lay out all the deco foam balls from the kit. Choose what colours you wish to paint your planets.

Step 2. Use acrylic paints to paint your planets. You can get creative if you wish and paint swirls or glitter on the planets too.

Step 3. Continue to paint all the planets. When finished painting poke a toothpick in the bottom of each planet and poke the other end of the toothpick into the extra Styrofoam flat ring that is in the pack.

Step 4. Repeat this process for the stars but before paint dries sprinkle glitter onto each star.

Step 5. After the planets are completely dry, use one of the long sticks to poke a hole through each planet and star.

Step 6. Cut a long piece of fishing line for each planet (decide beforehand how far you want your planets to hang). For each planet thread the fishing line through the hole and run the line up the outside of the planet and tie a knot at the top.

Step 7. Tie each piece to the ring at the top ensuring you vary the heights of the planets when you are tying.

Step 8. When all the planets have been tied onto the ring use four more pieces of fishing line to create a way to hang the mobile. Tie the pieces of fishing line to the spiral in evenly space increments so that the mobile will be balanced when hanging. Join all the pieces at the top and tie them off in a knot leaving a small loop for a hook.

Step 9. Once finished hang and admire your work!
