INSTRUCTIONS

To create the outer bottle bag:

Step 1 - From Top Pop and Fusible Fleece each cut one circle with a diameter of 11cm and cut one rectangle piece measuring 32cm high by 30cm wide. With an iron, fuse the fleece to the wrong side of each of the Top Pop fabric pieces.

Step 2 - Cut two strips from the Santa Fur strips each measuring 5cm high by 30cm wide. Pin one of the Santa Fur strips to the right side of the Top Pop fabric piece, eight mms from the top raw edge. Ensure the nap of the fur is running downwards. Sew Fur strip to Top Pop fabric 3mms in from the top and base raw edges of the Fur strip.

Step 3 - Repeat Step 3, to sew on the other Santa Fur trim piece to the base of the Top Pop fabric piece, pinning the base edge of the trim 15mm up from the base raw edge.

Step 4 - Cut a 90cm length of metallic foil traditional Christmas ribbon. Fold in half and pin the folded edge to one of the side edges of the Top Pop fabric piece, 2cm below the base edge of the top Fur trim. Ensure that the ribbon lengths are facing in towards the fabric and the fold edge is aligned with the outer raw edge. Sew ribbon in place.

Step 5 - With right sides facing, pin the two side edges of the Top Pop fabric piece together aligning the edges of the fur trim. Sew the side edges together with a 1cm seam allowance. Trim fur and fleece back to seam stitching then press open seam.

Step 6 - With right sides facing, pin the Top Pop circle to the bottom edges of the Top Pop fabric piece. Sew together with a 1cm seam allowance. Trim fleece back to seam stitching and clip seam. Turn outer bag right way out.

To create the inner lining of bottle bag:

Step 7 - From Top Pop poplin fabric, cut one circle with a diameter of 11cm and one-rectangle measuring 32cm high by 30cm wide.

Step 8 - With right sides facing, pin the two side edges of the Top Pop fabric piece together. Sew edges together with a 1cm seam allowance leaving an 8cm gap in the middle of seam for turning out.

Step 9 - With right sides facing, pin the Top Pop circle to the bottom edges of the Top Pop fabric piece. Sew together with a 1cm seam allowance. Clip seam.

Putting bottle bag together:

Step 10 - Place the outer bag inside the lining bag with right sides facing.

Step 11 - Align and pin top raw edges together. Sew top edges together with a 1cm seam allowance. Trim fleece back to seam stitching.

Step 12- Turn bottle bag right way out through the opening in the lining seam. Top stitch the opening in the seam closed. Place lining inside the outer bag and press the top edge flat from the inside of lining, being careful not to burn the fur trim.

Step 13 - Glue a pom pom to each of the raw ends of the ribbon lengths.
