INSTRUCTIONS

MAY YOUR DAYS BE HAPPY

Step 1. Cut a piece of garnet cardstock 5.7x11.4 inches. Score and fold through the center to create a square card base. Lightly dust the edges in white ink.
Step 2. Cut asquare of the spot print from the paper pad, 5.2 inches and attach to the garnet card base.
Step 3. Cut a square of the snow white cardstock, 4.2 inches and attach to the spot base.
Step 4. Cut a square of the stripe print from the paper pad, 4 inches and attach to the snow white.
Step 5. Attach the &lsquoMay your days be happy&rsquo sentiment from the Cardmakers Companion to the center of the card to finish.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Step 1. Cut a piece of battle fatigue cardstock 7.1 inches high x 8.2 inches wide. Score and fold through the center to create the rectangle card base. Lightly dust the edges in
white ink.
Step 2. Cut a rectangle of the gingham print from the paper pad, 6.45x3.5 inches and attach to the green card base.
Step 3. Cut a rectangle from the snow white cardstock, 6.25x3.3 inches and attach to the gingham print.
Step 4. Cut a strip of the reindeer print from the paper pad 3.15 inches wide. Cut the sentiment off the top above the swirl print. Shorten the length of the piece by cutting across the middle, lining up the print and reattaching so the height is 6.1 inches.
Step 5. Trim the Merry Christmas sentiment to 1.6x2 inches. Use the same layer combination beneath the "Merry Christmas" sentiment to create the centerpiece and attach to the card to finish.

PEACE AND LOVE

Step 1. Cut a piece of garnet cardstock 5.7x11.4 inches. Score and fold through the center to create a square card base. Lightly dust the edges in white ink.
Step 2. Cut a square of the pinecone and branches print from the paper pad, 5.2 inches and attach to the garnet card base.
Step 3. Cut a square from the paper bag cardstock at 3.7 inches, a square from the battle fatigue at 3.5 inches and the Peace and Love sentiment from the patterned paper pad at 3.2 inches.
Step 4. Layer and attach the 3 pieces together then attach to the center of the card base to finish.

CHRISTMAS JOY CARD

Step 1. Card is 13.5 x 13.5 cms
Step 2. Cut a piece of Season Greetings paper at 13 x 13 cms and ink the edges.
Step 3. Cut the Green cardstock at 9.5 x 9.5 cms and ink the edges.
Step 4. Cut the verse at 8.5 x 8.5 cms and in the edges. Adhere this to the green cardstock using some foam tape.

CHRISTMAS BOX

I have used a store bought paper mache box.
Step 1. Cut a piece of Red cardstock 8cms x 16 cms, and adhere to the lid of the box.
Step 2. Using a sheet of the Seasons Greeting paper cut off the piece with the Merry Christmas at the top measuring 7 cms x 16 cms , ink the edges with a red ink and then place this over the red cardstock. You can add any other embellishments to the top of the box or just leave it plain.

SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS

Step 1. Cut into half a 12 x 12 beige coloured cardstock, score in half and fold. This will be the base card, set aside.
Step 2. Cut a red cardstock 14.6cm square and curl one corner over the handle of a paintbrush, add double-sided tape to the back ready to adhere, set aside.
Step 3. Cut a square of 13.5cm from designer paper using the Christmas tree as a guide, edge with red inkpad using a dauber, curl the top right hand corner over the handle of a paintbrush, add double sided tape to the back and adhere this to red cardstock. Adhere sheer ribbon to this, set aside.
Step 4. Cut out Christmas sentiment from sentiment designer paper, edge with green inkpad and dauber, mount onto green cardstock. Adhere this with double sided foam tape to the ribbon centering it. Adhere all this to the base card. Add glue to the baubles and trimming on the tree and sprinkle with silver glitter, set aside to dry.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Step 1. Adhere double sided tape to the back of beige coloured cardstock and set aside.
Step 2. Cut a V shape at one end of each of the 3 red cardstock.
Step 3. Cut 3 pieces of designer paper 13.5cm x 2cm adhere them to the three red cardstock cutting a V shape to match at one end. Adhere these evenly spaced out using mounting tape to the kraft coloured cardstock. Add satin ribbon to the bottom half and a bow on top of the ribbon.
Step 4. Fussy cut the Merry Christmas sentiment and adhere to the top centering it. Adhere the kraft coloured cardstock to the red base cardstock.

CARD WITH MATCHING GIFT CARD HOLDER

Step 1. 6x12" piece of cardstock and fold in half, then select three pieces of patterned paper from (ULT157660). Cut one 2" x 5", one 3" x 3 1/2" and the third 3" x 1.5".
Step 2. Adhere to a piece of pink cardstock and then trim the pink cardstock so only 1/8" edge is showing. Adhere A cardmakers Companion (ULT157662) to the pink cardstock and fussy cut with a 1/8 edge of pink showing.
Step 3. Stitch star elements if desired, add trim along one border.
Step 4. Layer elements onto base cardstock as per image and add gemstones.

MATCHING GIFT CARD HOLDER

Step 1. Cut a 4" x 6" piece of cardstock and score at 1.5" from one and 2" from the other end.
Step 2. Cut a piece of 3 1/4" x 6"piece of patterned paper and cut a 3 1/2 " x 6" piece of pink cardstock and adhere so 1/8" showing either side of the patterned paper.
Step 3. Stitch star elements if desired, then adhere to the Green cardstock. Add Trim to the 1 1/2 " scored end of the image.
Step 4. Cut a half circle from the 2" scored end of the card. Then adhere the two edges to create an envelope shape.
Step 5. Add gemstones as desired.

JOY TO THE WORLD

Step 1. Fold the brown cardstock in half.
Step 2. Distress the designer paper mats.
Step 3. Stitch around the edges of a sticker with golden thread.
Step 4. Make a rosette from cream lace, by stitching a running stitch along the plain edge of the lace and pulling it tight until it forms a circle. Secure it with a few stitches and glue the rosette under the sentiment sticker.
Step 5. Attach all layers to the card base, as shown.
Step 6. Decorate with a red flower and a few threads of hessian. Paint Glossy Accents on all the baubles on the tree and highlight the veins on the flower with a glitter gel pen.

MERRY CHRISTMAS STOCKING

Step 1. Fold the green cardstock in half.
Step 2. Attach all mats to the card base, as shown.
Step 3. Use a dotted stencil and the Distress ink to create a background of green dots. If you dont have a dotted stencil, improvise by using the rubber on a pencil to stamp a few dots instead.
Step 4. Mark a spot on the upper half of the white paper and use it as a central point to stitch a few sunburst lines with golden thread.
Step 5. Cut out a Christmas sock, 2 branches and a greeting from the patterned paper. Attach them to the white mat, so that they hide the central point of the stitched lines.

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS by Melissa Struhs

Step 1: Cut a card base from Garnet cardstock (ULT200067) 6" x 10" and fold in half.
Step 2: Cut a 1" strip from patterned paper. Cut 2 pigtail ribbon pieces at varied lengths (as pictured). Sand the edges with a sanding block.
Step 3: Cut a 1" strip from Paper Bag cardstock Cut 2 pigtail ribbon pieces at varied lengths (as pictured). Layer all pigtail pieces in the top left hand corner of the card base, working from left to right.
Step 4: Cut a 5, 3/4" x 1" strip from the red Handmade Paper. Sand edges gently and affix with the Turbo Precision Glue Pen.
Step 5: Distress the edges of the bird on a branch image from the Cardmakers Companion and raise on 3D Foam Dots. Affix to card.
Step 6: Add a sticker sentiment and Mixed Primrose Flower to embellish the card. Finish off with Glitzin&rsquo Glamour: Gold around the bird and the centre of the flower. Set aside to dry.
Step 7: Pre-pierce stitching holes along the inside edges of the red handmade paper. Backstitch the 3 strands of cream embroidery cotton.
