Do you have any tips for roasting?
Roasting is probably one of the easiest methods as you pop your delicious meat or vegetables in the oven and they require little or no attention during the process. Always preheat your oven to the recipe’s required temperature to ensure successful roasting. Use low to moderates heats for a large roast to cook your joint evenly, and you can always turn the oven up for a little while at the end if you are hoping for an extra crispy skin.
If you are cooking meat for the juiciest, most tender, result, it is recommended that you allow meat to stand at room temperature for around an hour before putting it into the oven. Use butcher’s twine to tie up poultry and some joints as they cook, as this will help the meat to hold its shape. A meat thermometer will help you to check when your delightful roast is complete without overcooking it and drying it out. All meat should for rest for between 10-20 minutes after you have removed it from the oven as this will allow the juices to redistribute.
How should I care for and maintain these roasting products?
Looking after your roasting trays and racks properly will help them to maintain their performance for longer, and there are a few things you could consider. Some of our trays are dishwasher safe. However, washing by hand is usually the preferred option to ensure optimum performance for longer. Please ensure that you allow the pan to cool properly before washing in warm water. If you are struggling with a particularly dirty roasting tray, bicarbonate of soda is a great way of getting rid of those stubborn parts and is also amazing at dealing with leftover grease. For extra stubborn stains, leave your tray to soak in hot water and dishwashing detergent.
