Lame is a great range of fabrics for special occasion sewing. Lame captures and reflects light perfectly. This latest range of Party Play fabrics are stunning fabrics that can be made into costumes, party wear. This lame fabrics are made from polyester and lurex and the lurex adds a nice metallic touch to the fabric. This Solid Plain Poly Lurex Lame Fabric is beautiful and would be perfect for many fashionable styles.

Lame frays when cut, it is recommended not to cut the fabric until you are ready to sew
Use a zig zag stitch on raw edges to minimise fraying.
When laying out your pattern consider whether your lame has a nap, ensuring all pieces are layer in the same direction
Use fabric markers to mark your pattern, and a temporary adhesive spray can be beneficial
When sewing you may need to change your needles frequently as the metal content of the lame can dull your needle which can damage your fabric
Use a 70/10 Sharps needle
Use a presser foot when sewing and a good quality polyester thread
Use a serged rolled hem and seam finishes
A French Fuse or Fusible tricot can be used
