The Neon Cornelli Patterned 135 cm Lace Fabric is a wonderful option if you're looking to add striking colours and a floral touch to your handmade garments. This particular Cornelli lace is suitable as an outer layer in garments, due to the transparency and intricacy. This material is composed of 100% polyester. It is supplied in a 135 cm width and sold by the metre. Additional Information: Pre-wash your fabric, and press flat after drying
When laying out and cutting for your patterns ensure you have your lace the same side up for all pieces
It is easier to cut lace with scissors particularly if your pattern has curves, rather than with a rotary cutter
You may also want to use a temporary adhesive spray when cutting your pattern
Use pattern weights instead of pins when cutting your fabric, and basting stitches to hold your pattern pieces together
Use a clear presser foot when sewing lace and be weary of ensuring you do not get any parts of the lace caught in the foot ends while sewing
Choose a universal needle and adjust for the thickness of your lace
Use a French seam when finishing your seams and use a stabiliser
Using a bias tape on seams can also be beneficial
