What can I do with this collection of different linings?

Lining refers to the inner layer of fabric, and it is often included on jackets, dresses, and skirts. With tight-fitting clothes, the lining helps the garment to slide smoothly over the wearer’s form, whereas, the lining of a jacket may prevent chafing and irritation from having the wool next to your skin. Under a sheer or translucent garment, they provide opacity, and modesty and they can also help to conceal seams, darts and fasteners. You could also use lining as one half of a homemade quilted blanket, perfect for keeping you toasty and warm in the winter. Whatever your textile project is, you are sure to find a top quality lining in the perfect colour in our collection here at Spotlight.

Which lining should I choose for my project?

Well, that is all down to personal preference really and what you are planning to create. Our lining fabrics come in a range of different textures and thicknesses, so browse through our collection above to find the perfect one for you. Lining materials include polyester, acetate, or enviro-cloth, for those who wish to ensure that their finished piece is environmentally friendly. Our Anti-Static Italian Lining is a beautifully rich fabric that is static resistant, whereas, our Bemslik acetate lining is ideal for lining drapes and curtains. Choose the best lining for your project to ensure quality, comfort and style.
