INSTRUCTIONS

FRONT

Step 1 - From Fabric A fussy cut a rectangle 55cm wide x 66cm long. From Fabric B cut one 5cm wide strip across the width of fabric. Cut strip into two 55cm lengths.

Step 2 - Pin one Fabric B strip to top and bottom of the Fabric A rectangle with right sides facing. Sew together. Press seams towards the strips and topstitch 7mm from the seam.

Step 3 - From Fabric B cut one 7cm wide strip across the width of fabric. Cut strip into 3 x 20cm lengths. Fold strip in half lengthways with right sides facing and press. Sew together lengthways. Turn right side out and press with seam along one long edge. Topstitch down each long edge 3mm in from edge. Repeat for the other two straps. Trim ends to neaten and to make straps 15cm.

Step 4 - Fold one strap in half raw ends together and pin to center top edge of front panel (step 2) with raw edges aligned. Machine baste 5mm from edge. Attach remaining straps to top edge of front panel in same way 18cm each side of center strap.

BACK

Step 5 - From Fabric C cut a rectangle 55cm wide x 72cm.

Step 6 - From Vilene H640 fusible med loft fleece cut a rectangle 55cm x 72cm. Fuse fleece to wrong side of Fabric C rectangle.

TO FINISH

Step 7 - Pin Front and Back together with right sides facing. Sew together around edges leaving a 20cm opening in bottom edge for turning through.

Step 8 - Clip corners and turn right side out through the opening. Press in seam allowance of opening. Hand sew opening closed and topstitch around 5mm in from the edge. Press well.
