INSTRUCTIONS

Fleece Pompom

Cut 2 pieces of fleece (yellow for hedgehog, grey for rabbit, white for sheep) 75cm x 18cm.

Lay the 2 pieces one on top of the other on a table. Snip along the long edge every 1-1.5 cm, cutting 8cm in towards the middle. Repeat on the other long side.

Roll tightly from one end to the other. Place a cable tie around the middle of the roll and pull as tightly as possible. Use a pair of pliers to help. Cut the cable tie end off as flush as possible. File smooth with a metal nail file.

Fluff pompom up, then trim ends with scissors until shape is uniform all over. Hand sew head over cable tie join.

Hedgehog

Cut 3 triangles out of yellow fleece and sew 2 of them together along one long side. Attach safety eyes, one to each side. Attach third triangle. Stuff firmly.

Place a fleece circle, 7cm in diameter, over the end, pin, and attach using a zigzag stitch.

Hand stitch hedgehog head to fleece pompom.

Rabbit

Cut out all pieces from grey fleece, with 2 ears from pink fleece. Sew darts in the face.

Place 1 grey ear and 1 pink ear right sides together. Sew along outside edge, leaving short edges open. Turn right side out and attach to side of face. Repeat for second ear.

Attach safety eyes to face. Stuff firmly.

Place a fleece circle, 6cm in diameter, over the back of head, pin, and attach using a zigzag stitch.

Hand stitch rabbit head to fleece pompom.

Sheep

Cut out 1 sheep head and 2 ears out of white fleece. Cut 2 sheep faces and 2 ears out of cream fleece.

Sew the 2 sheep faces on to the sheep heads using a zigzag stitch. Stitch the 2 pieces together down centre seam to complete face.

Place 1 white ear and 1 cream ear right sides together. Sew along outside edge, leaving short edge open. Turn right side out and attach to side of face. Repeat for second ear.

Sew darts together on head front. Sew chin edge together.

Attach safety eyes to face. Stuff firmly.

Place a fleece circle, 6cm in diameter, over the back of the head, pin, and attach using a zigzag stitch.

Hand stitch sheep head to fleece pompom.
