GLOO STICK PAINTING

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Canvas
• Hot glue gun
• Mega glue pack
• Pencil
• Various Acrylic Paints
• Paint brushes
• Water

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1.Lightly draw your chosen design onto canvas using pencil.

Step 2.Heat up glue gun and carefully trace over your design with glue creating a raised design on the canvas. Take care to push even amounts of glue out so the lines are level and consistent throughout the design, unless you wish your design to have varying levels of textures. If you make a mistake you can carefully peel off the glue before it is dry.

Step 3.Once glue is dry, you can begin to paint. Start with painting the first coat of your background and allow to dry while you work on the main design.

Step 4.Using various acrylic colours fill in design. We chose to paint a rose so have used crimson, hot pink and white to create the shading on the petals. Then repeat this same process using different greens for the leaves. Make sure you paint over the glue so that it becomes a part of the artwork.

Step 5.While the paint is drying, complete the 2nd coat for your background ensuring you paint the sides of your canvas too.

Step 6.Touch up any areas and allow to dry before hanging.
