MOTHER'S DAY CUPCAKES WITH DIY CUPCAKE TOPPERS

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Open the Cricut design space app to start creating your design.

Step 2 - Select the shape tool and create a love heart shape to your desired size.

Step 3 - Select the text tool, choose a font and write the words you want on your cupcake topper. Place the text over the love heart shape in the position you want it.

Step 4 - Next select the Text and Love heart layer and press the slice tool at the bottom of the screen. This will cut the text out of the love heart shape.

Step 5 - Delete the extra text layers so you are only left with your love heart design. Repeat steps 1 - 4 with the different phrases you want.

Step 6 - Your designs are now ready to be cut out. Press "Make It" in the top right-hand corner and follow the prompts to connect your machine and cut out your design.

Step 7 - Load your chosen card onto the mat and insert into the machine. Press the flashing C button when ready and watch the Cricut machine cut out your design.

Step 8 - Repeat this process to cut out your designs from different card or paper.

Step 9 - Once your designs are cut out, remove from mat and use a hot glue gun to glue the toothpicks onto the back of the card.

Step 10 - Bake cupcakes using the Roberts Edible craft baking kit. Once cool pipe each cupcake with buttercream icing and decorate with your very own cupcake toppers!
