WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Marvel Soft 4ply 50g balls as per size
• A pair of 3.25mm and a set each of 3.25mm knitting needles or size needed for correct tension
• Scissors, small amount of black yarn for embroidery, yarn needle, tape measure

To Fit Head: 51-52cm (Size 2-4), 53-54cm (Size 6-8)
Quantity: 2 Balls (Size 2-4), 2 Balls (Size 6-8)

TENSION

30 sts x 48 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 3.25mm needles.

BEANIE

Using a set of 3.25mm needles, cast on 132 (144) sts.

1st round - * K2, P2, rep from * to end. Rep last round until work measures 3cm from beg. Work in garter st for rem (1 round knit, 1 round purl) until work measures 11 (14) cm from beg, ending with a purl round.

Shape Crown

Next row: * K9 (10), K2tog, rep from * to end ... 120 (132) sts. Work 3 rounds.
Next row: * K8 (9), K2tog, rep from * to end ... 108 (120) sts. Purl 1 round.
Next row: * K7 (8), K2tog, rep from * to end ... 96 (108) sts. Purl 1 round.
Next row: * K6 (7), K2tog, rep from * to end ... 84 (96) sts. Purl 1 round.
Next row: * K5 (6), K2tog, rep from * to end ... 72 (84) sts. Purl 1 round.
Cont dec in this manner until 12 sts rem. Break off yarn, thread end through rem 12 sts, draw up and fasten off securely.

EAR FRONT AND BACK (make 4)

Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 23 sts. Work 30 rows stocking st.

Shape Top -

Dec one st at each end of next and foll 4th rows until 11 sts rem, then in foll alt row until 3 sts rem. Purl 1 row. Cast off rem 3 sts.

TO MAKE UP

DO NOT PRESS. EARS - With wrong sides facing join front and back of sleeve together. Fold ears and sew to top of beanie as pictured.

FACE - Using the small amount of black yarn and stem st sew eyes and nose as pictured. Sew in all ends.
