WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 'Mondial' Bacio 2 x 100g balls
- 1 pair 12mm knitting needles
- 2 Buttons (if desired) for Cowl and Beanie
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
MEASUREMENTS
Cowl
Width (approx) 30 cm
Circumference (approx) 50 cm
Beanie
To fit head (approx) 56-58 cm
INSTRUCTIONS
Cowl
Using 12mm needles, cast on 15 sts. Work in stocking st until work measures 30cm from beg, ending with a purl row. Sew on the 2 buttons on one edge and push through the fabric to wear as picture Cast off.
Beanie
Using 15mm needles, cast on 26 sts. Work in stocking until work measures 16cm from beg, ending with a purl row.
Shape Crown - 1st row - * K3, K2tog, rep from * to last st, K1 ... 21 sts.
2nd row - Purl.
3rd row - * K2, K2tog, rep from * to last st, K1 ... 16 sts.
4th row - Purl.
5th row - * K1, K2tog, rep from * to last st, K1 ... 11 sts.
6th row - Purl. Break off yarn, leaving a long end. Run end through rem sts, draw up tightly and fasten off securely.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS.
Cowl - Using yarn needle and a flat seam, join side edges together to form a circle. Sew on 2 buttons to front of cowl for decoration (if desired).
Beanie - Using yarn needle and a flat seam, join side edges together to form centre back seam.
