BABY POM POM & CHENILLE SCARF
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 'Passionknit' Baby Chenille 250g: 1 ball 1st Contrast (C1) and Pom Pom 250g: 1 ball 2nd Contrast (C2).
- 1 pair 8mm knitting needles.
- A large crochet hook for fringing.
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure.
(approx excluding fringe)
Correct tension is not essential for this Scarf
Note - This Scarf has been worked on bigger needles than normally recommended.
Using 8mm needles and C1, cast on 15 sts loosely.
Knit 3 rows garter st, (1st row is WS).
Using C2, 1st row (RS) - Knit, winding yarn twice around needle for each st.
2nd row - Knit, dropping extra loop of needle from previous row and winding yarn twice around needle for each st.
Using C1, 3rd row - Knit, dropping extra loop off needle for each st.
Knit 3 rows garter st.
Last 6 rows form patt.
Cont in patt until work measures approx 178cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.
Using C1, rep 3rd row. Knit 2 rows garter st.
Cast off loosely on WS.
DO NOT PRESS. Wind C2 around a piece of cardboard 15cm wide and cut along one edge. Using crochet hook and 2 strands of C2 for each tassel, fringe evenly along cast on and cast off edges.
