  • 'Anette Eriksson' Cotton Soft 2 (3-3-4) x 100g balls
  • 1 pair 4mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension.
  • Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

Sizes S/M (M/L-L/XL-XL/XXL)

To Fit Bust (approx) 80/90 (90/100-100/110-110/120) cm

Length To Shoulder (approx) 84 (86-88-90) cm

Sleeve Length 4 cm

TENSION

23 sts and 35 rows to 10 cm over patt, using 4mm needles.

Note - This garment has been worked on bigger needles than normally stated.

INSTRUCTIONS

BACK

Using 4mm needles, cast on 121 (138-155-172) sts.

Beg Patt - This is a make and lose patt, where a number of sts is stated this does not include sts made or lost in patt.

1st row (RS) - K1, (K2tog) 3 times, (yfwd, K1) 5 times, yfwd, (K2tog) 3 times, rep from to last st, K1.

2nd row - Knit.

3rd row - Knit.

4th row - Purl.

Rep rows 1 to 4 incl twice more. Work 4 rows stocking st (beg with a knit row).

17th row - K1 (2-3-0), P2, K2, rep from to end.

18th row - P2, K2, rep from to last 1 (2-3-0) st/s, P1 (2-3-0).

19th row - P1 (2-3-0), K2, P2, rep from to end.

20th row - K2, P2, rep from to last 1 (2-3-0) st/s, K1 (2-3-0).

Work 3 rows stocking st (beg with a knit row.

24th row - Knit.

25th row - K1, yfwd, K1, rep from to last 0 (1-0-1) st/s, K0 (1-0-1).

26th row - Knit dropping yfwd's from previous row off needle.

27th row - Purl.

Work 3 rows stocking st (beg with a purl row). Rep rows 17th to 20th incl once.

35th row - Purl.

36th row - K1, (yfwd) twice, K1, rep from to 0 (1-0-1) st/s, K0 (1-0-1).

37th row - Knit, dropping yfwd's from previous row off needle.

38th row - Knit.

Work 4 rows stocking st (beg with a knit row). Rep rows 17 to 20 incl once, then 17th and 18th rows once. Work 2 rows rows stocking st (beg with a knit row).

51st row - Purl.

Rep 25th and 26th rows once.

54th row - Knit.

Rows 1 to 54 incl form patt throughout, noting that sts will be dec and inc.

Keeping patt correct, Next row (RS) - K1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, patt to last 4 sts, K3tog, K1 � 4 sts dec, 117 (134-151-168) sts.

Cont dec 2 sts (as before) at each end of every foll 10th row 9 times � 81 (98-115-132) sts.

Cont in patt until work measures 49 (50-51-52) cm from beg, working last row on WS.

Inc one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 6th row 6 times � 95 (112-129-146) sts.

Cont in patt until work measures 66 (67-68-69) cm from beg, working last row on WS and dec 1 (0-1-0) st/s at end of last row � 94 (112-128-146) sts.

Shape Armholes - Keeping patt correct, cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows � 86 (104-120-138) sts.

Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows � 78 (96-112-130) sts.

Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt row twice � 72 (90-106-124) sts.

Work a further 41 (45-49-53) rows patt.

Shape Back Neck - Next row (RS) - Patt 18 (27-35-44), K4, cast off next 28 sts loosely, K4, patt to end.

Cont on these 22 (31-39-48) sts.

Next row - Patt to last 4 sts, K4.

Keeping 4 garter sts correct at neck edge, cont until armhole measures 18 (19-20-21) cm, working last row on WS. Cast off rem sts for shoulder.

With WS facing, join yarn to rem 22 (31-39-48) sts, K4, patt to end.

Complete to correspond with other side of neck.

FRONT

Work as for Back to .

Shape Armholes and Divide for Neck - 1st row (RS) - Cast off 4 sts, patt 39 (48-56-65), K4, turn.

Cont on these 43 (52-60-69) sts.

2nd and foll alt rows - K4, patt to end.

3rd row - Cast off 2 sts, patt to last 7 sts, K3tog, K4.

5th row - Cast off 2 sts, patt to last 4 sts, K4.

7th row - K2tog, patt to last 4 sts, K4.

9th row - As 7th row.

11th row - K2tog, patt to last 7 sts, K3tog, K4 � 32 (41-49-58) sts.

Keeping 4 garter sts correct at neck edge, cont dec 2 sts (as before) at neck edge in every foll 8th (8th-10th-10th) row 5 times � 22 (31-39-48) sts.

Cont without shaping until armhole measures same as Back to shoulder, ending with same patt row on WS. Cast off rem sts for shoulder.

With RS facing, join yarn to rem 47 (56-64-73) sts, K4, patt to end.

1st row (WS) - Cast off 4 sts, patt to last 4 sts, K4.

2nd row - K4, sl 1, K2tog, psso, patt to end.

3rd row - Cast off 2 sts, patt to last 4 sts, K4.

4th row - K4, patt to end.

5th row - Cast off 2 sts, patt to last 4 sts, K4.

6th row - K4, patt to last 2 sts, K2tog.

7th row - Patt to last 4 sts, K4.

Rep 6th and 7th rows once more.

10th row - K4, sl 1, K2tog, psso, patt to end � 32 (41-49-58) sts.

Keeping 4 garter sts correct at neck edge, cont dec 2 sts (as before) at neck edge in every foll 8th (8th-10th-10th) row 5 times � 22 (31-39-48) sts rem.

Complete to correspond with other side of neck.

SLEEVES

Using 4mm needles, cast on 72 (76-80-84) sts.

Knit 4 rows garter st (1st row is RS).

Work in stocking st (beg with a knit row) until work measures 4 cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Shape Top - Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows � 64 (68-72-76) sts.

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows � 58 (62-66-70) sts.

Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 6 rows � 46 (50-54-58) sts.

Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt until 40 (40-42-42) sts rem.

Cast off 2 sts at beg of every row until 12 (16-14-18) sts rem.

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

Cast off rem sts loosely.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join shoulder seams. Join side and Sleeve seams. Sew in Sleeves, easing to fit.
