DIY EASTER EGGS

INSTRUCTIONS

POLYSTYRENE EGGS

Step 1 - Take the ribbon you wish to cover the egg in and dab a small dot of hot glue onto the ribbon and hold it on the top of the egg to secure. Carefully begin wrapping the ribbon around the egg gluing occasionally on the top and bottom as you wrap around. Continue until the entire egg is covered in ribbon.

Step 2 - Take the foam sheets and draw your chosen animals face, wings and ears. Cut out with scissors and use the hot glue gun to secure to the egg.

Step 3 - If you need a little extra support for the ears or wings, glue a small pom pom underneath or behind the foam to help hold it in place.

FILLABLE PLASTIC EGGS

Step 1 - Choose a foam sheet that matches the main colour of the animal or character you are wanting to create. Open the plastic egg and trace around the egg shape onto the foam. Cut out with scissors.

Step 2 - Use the sharpie to draw your characters face and features onto the foam piece and place inside one half of the plastic egg and close.

Step 3 - To finish, cut out any other features from the foam sheets and use the hot glue gun to secure to the outside of the egg. You can use pom poms again to help support the foam or just as decoration.

PAPIER MACHE EGGS

Step 1 - Decide on the characters you wish to create. Use paint and a paint brush to paint the papier Mache eggs. Allow the paint to dry between coats if needed.

Step 2 - While the eggs are drying, take the foam sheets and draw your chosen animals face, ears or any other features. Cut out with scissors and use the hot glue gun to secure to the egg once the paint is dry.

Step 3 - To finish use pom poms and chenille sticks to decorate your characters and bring them to life!
