QUILTED CHRISTMAS TABLE SETTING

INSTRUCTIONS

PLACEMATS

Step 1 - From the main fabric cut 6 - 12 3/4 x 7 1/4.

Step 2 - From the inner green border cut 12 - 2.5 inch x 7 1/4 strips and 12 - 2.5 inch x 17 1/4 strips.

Step 3 - From the outer red border cut 12 - 1 1/4 inch x 11 3/4 and 1 1/4 inch x 19 1/4.

Step 4 - Starting with the main fabric sew the shorter green strips to each side of the main fabric and press out neatly before adding the longer strips to each side of the main fabric, again, press out neatly.

Step 5 - Add the shorter red fabric to the shorter ends of the fabric sewing neatly and pressing. Once pressed add the final two pieces of red fabric to each side of the fabric.

Press flat and sandwich. Quilt and bind.

Tip - Always measure and press as you go to make sure as you are cutting and sewing it will all match up well.

TABLE RUNNER

Cut 4 - 15 x 4.5 inches from each fabric

Mark the top of one edge of the fabric with a small mark 1.5 inches in on each side.

Line your ruler up from the first marker on your left and angle the ruler down to the bottom on the left and cut on the angle. Do the same to the right top marker and right bottom corner of the fabric.

This shape forms the shape for all pieces for the Christmas table runner.

Once you have cut all pieces lay them out in the way you would like them to appear in the table runner and starting from one side and pressing as you go see the pieces altogether alternating the short and fat sides to match pattern.

Once all pieces have been sewn together press well and trim on each side for a nice neat finish.

Once complete sandwich and quilt.
