Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 54 (62-72-80) sts. Work 15 rows garter st, 1st row is wrong side. Work in stocking st, until work measures 11 (13-15-15) cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.

Shape Raglan Armholes -

Working in garter st, cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 50 (58-68-76) sts.

3rd row - K2, sl 1, K1, psso, knit to last 4 sts, K2tog, K2.

4th row - P3, knit to last 3 sts, P3 ... 48 (56-66-74) sts. Rep last 2 rows until 32 sts rem.

Next row - Knit.

Next row - P3, knit to last 3 sts, P3.

Next row - K2, sl 1, K1, psso, knit to last 4 sts, K2tog, K2.

SLEEVES

Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 28 (30-32-32) sts. Work 15 rows garter st, 1st row is wrong side. Work in stocking st, inc one st at each end of next and foll alt (4th-4th-4th) rows there are 34 (38-36-36) sts, then in foll 4th (6th-6th-6th) rows until there are 42 (44-48-50) sts. Cont in stocking st until work measures 11 (13-16-19) cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.

Shape Raglan -

Working in garter st, cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 38 (40-44-46) sts.

3rd row - K2, sl 1, K1, psso, knit to last 4 sts, K2tog, K2.

4th row - P3, knit to last 3 sts, P3 ... 48 (56-66-74) sts. Rep last 2 rows until 20 (22-28-30) sts rem.

Next row - Knit.

NECKBAND

DO NOT PRESS. We recommend using mattress st to sew up your garment. Join raglan seams. With RS facing, using 3.25mm needles, and beg at right front edge, knit up 22 (22-24-24) sts along right front neck shaping to raglan seam, knit across 8 (8-10-10) sts for right sleeve, knit across 20 (22-24-26) sts from back neck stitch holder, knit across 8 (8-10-10) sts from left sleeve, knit up 20 (22-24-24) sts evenly along left side of front neck shaping to front edge ... 80 (82-92-94) sts. Knit 10 rows. Cast off very loosely knitways.

LEFT FRONT BAND

With RS facing, using a pair of 3.25mm needles, knit up 54 (64-70-74) sts evenly along left front edge and side edge of neckband. Knit 5 rows.

6th row - Rib 3, * yfwd, K2tog, K13 (16-13-14), rep from * 2 (2-3-3) times, yfwd, K2tog, knit to end ... 4 (4-5-5) buttonholes. Knit 3 rows rib. Cast off loosely knitways.

RIGHT FRONT BAND

Work as given for left front band, omitting buttonholes.

TO MAKE UP

DO NOT PRESS. Join side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons to match button holes. Sew in ends.
