How do I use Candy Melt?
We always like to remind customers to read the manufacturer's instructions that accompany your new product fully before use. Before you begin, ensure that all your utensils and bowls are fully dried, as any remnants of water can cause the melted coating to harden and streak. To heat your candy melt to a liquid texture that is perfect for moulding, you need to melt the item first, and there are a number of ways that you can do this. You can put your candy melt into a microwaveable bowl and microwave on the defrost setting for one minute.
Stir thoroughly before continuing to microwave for 20 seconds, and stirring after each interval until your candy melt is the right consistency. You can also melt your candy using the double boiler method, add water to the bottom of the pan and heat to a simmer. Remove from the heat and place your candy melt in a pan, or bowl, on top, stirring consistently until completely melted. If you are melting a large amount, you can also use your slow cooker on the lowest setting. You can melt up to around 5 pounds of candy this way. However, it is not a suitable method when using only small amounts. It is also important not to overheat your mixture, as this will result in the candy melt losing its proper consistency.
