Permanently dye fabrics or garments with the Dylon hand dyes, perfect for dying smaller items, such as shorts, vests or socks. The Dylon fabric dye will create intense and long-lasting colours. This dye is not suitable for use on delicate fabrics, such as wool or silk.
Bring new life to your garments and fabrics with the Dylon fabric dye, available from Spotlight.
To use this dye:
1. Weigh dry fabric and wash thoroughly, leaving the fabric/garment damp.
2. Using rubber gloves, dissolve dye in 500ml of warm water.
3. Fill a bowl or stainless-steel sink with approximately 6 litres warm (40°C) water.
4. Stir in 250g (10tbsp) of salt. Add dye & stir well.
5. Submerge fabric in water.
6. Stir consistently for 15mins, then stir regularly over 45mins.
7. Rinse the fabric/garment in cold water.
8. Wash in warm water & dry away from direct heat & sunlight.

All home delivery orders require a signature upon delivery. If there's no one at home to sign for the parcel, or a ‘to the door’ service is not available in your area, a card will be left with instructions on how to collect from your nearest New Zealand Post Office outlet. Once your parcel has been signed for you will be responsible for any damage to or loss of your items.
Occasionally, customer’s orders may need to be sourced and supplied by multiple Spotlight locations. If this is the case, then your order will arrive at its destination in more than one consignment and possibly with more than one courier company. The multiple shipping charges are not passed onto the customer. The shipping charge paid at the checkout page of the order will not be exceeded even if multiple deliveries are required.
If you order an item online and it is not of acceptable quality or does not match the description, you can return it to us by taking the item to your nearest Spotlight store. If you are unable to get to a store, please call customer care on 0800 276 222.
