How should I care for my general purpose fabric?
Well, that does depend on which of these fabulous fabrics you have chosen, and we always recommend that you read the manufacturer's care instructions before you begin. To ensure that your final project maintains its finished structure, we recommend pre-washing your material before you start sewing. Not only will this take shrink allowance into consideration, it can also promote colour fastness. Some of these fabrics are machine washable, but others should be washed by hand. We do not advise using the tumble dryer. Instead, hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Finally, always avoid the use of any harsh chemicals or abrasive solutions, such as chlorine or bleach.
