NAPKINS

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2m of Fabric - will make 8 napkins
  • Scissors
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Sewing machine and matching thread
  • Pins and tape measure

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Wash and dry the fabric twice to ensure no shrinkage.

Step 2 - Cut the fabric into 45cm x 55cm pieces and give each piece a quick press.

Step 3 - Fold down one side of the napkin 1.5cm and press. Fold it over again and press again. Use pins to hold the fold in place.

Step 4 - Do the same to the parallel side. Sew along the two folded edges 6mm from the inner edge. Make sure to back stitch as you start and finish each seam. Do the same to the other two sides.

Step 5 - Repeat for each napkin piece to create your set.

CUSHIONS

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 1m x each fabric
  • Invisible zips
  • Sewing machine and matching thread
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Pins
  • Pillow inserts

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Cut your fabric into 2 x 52cm squares this measurement includes your seam allowance. Repeat this for each cushion design.

Step 2 - Over lock or zigzag stitch, the edges of your pieces.

Step 3 - Insert invisible zip using an invisible zipper foot.

Step 4. Sew up cushion with right sides of fabric facing together.

Step 5 - With front and back right sides facing pin together around the edges, making sure the zipper is open a little for turning through. Sew together around remaining 3 sides using a 1cm seam allowance.

Step 6 - Snip across corners to create a clean point when turning inside out.

Step 7 - Turn pillow inside out and fill with insert. Repeat step1 1 - 7 for multiple cushions.
