WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Fabric A: Floral Bunches Cream (2.4m)
  • Fabric B: Large Floral Aqua (1.2m)
  • Fabric C: Buds Aqua (1.6m)
  • Fabric D: Nouveau Meadow Aqua (0.8m)
  • Fabric E: Toille Peach (0.7m)
  • Backing 5 - 1/2yards

INSTRUCTIONS

*Tip: For each print, first cut the larger pieces from the precut strips, then cut the smaller pieces from the remainder of each strip.

Fabric A

  • Cut four strips 8-1/2" x WOF, sub cut 13 squares 8-1/2" x 8-1/2"
  • Cut four strips 6" x WOF, set aside for outer border
  • Cut four strips 7" x WOF, set aside for outer border

Fabric B

  • Cut three strips 8-1/2" x WOF, sub cut 12 squares 8-1/2" x 8-1/2"
  • Cut three strips 4-1/2" x WOF, set aside for top/bottom accent

Fabric C

  • Cut three strips 8-1/2" x WOF, sub cut 12 squares 8-1/2" x 8-1/2"
  • Cut six strips 2" x WOF, set aside for top/bottom accent
  • Cut eight strips 2-1/2" x WOF, set aside for binding

Fabric D

  • Cut three strips 8-1/2" x WOF, sub cut 12 squares 8-1/2" x 8-1/2"

Fabric E

  • Cut three strips 2-1/2" x WOF, set aside for inner border
  • Cut seven strips 2" x WOF, set aside for inner border

MAKING THE QUILT

Step 1. Sew together a Fabric A and B 8-1/2" square. Make 11 pairs.
Step 2. Sew together a Fabric C and D 8-1/2" square. Make 10 pairs.
Step 3. Sew an AB pair to a CD pair, following the diagram. Make seven strips.
Step 4. Sew an AB pair to the end of a strip, following the diagram. Make four. Make three.
Step 6. Add a Fabric C square to the end of a strip from Step 4 to make a Row A. Make two Row As.
Step 7. Add a Fabric D square to the beginning of a strip from Step 4 to make a Row B. Make two Row Bs.
Step 8. Add a Fabric A square to the end of a strip from Step 5 to make a Row C. Make two Row Cs.
Step 9. Add a Fabric B square to the beginning of a strip from Step 5 to make a Row D.
Step 10. Press all the Row A and Row C seams in the same direction.
Step 11. Press all the Row B and Row D seams in the opposite direction of Rows A & C.
Step 12. Sew Rows A, B, and C together. Press the seams towards Row B. Make two.
Step 13. Sew an ABC row set to the top and bottom of Row D. Press seams towards Row D.
Step 14. Sew three Fabric B 4-1/2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 4-1/2" x 56-1/2".
Step 15. Sew three Fabric C 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 2" x 56-1/2". Repeat for a total of four Fabric C accent strips.
Step 16. Sew three Fabric E 2-1/2" strips together
end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 2-1/2" x 56-1/2".
Step 17. Sew three Fabric E 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two inner border strips 2" x 56-1/2".
Step 18. Sew two Fabric E 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut a 2" x 74-1/2" inner border strip. Repeat to make two.
Step 19. Sew a Fabric C accent strip to the top & bottom of the Fabric B accent strip. Press seams towards Fabric B. Make two.

MAKING THE QUILT

Step 1. Sew together a Fabric A and B 8-1/2" square. Make 11 pairs.
Step 2. Sew together a Fabric C and D 8-1/2" square. Make 10 pairs.

Step 7. Add a Fabric D square to the beginning of a strip from Step 4 to make a Row B. Make two Row Bs.
Step 8. Add a Fabric A square to the end of a strip from Step 5 to make a Row C. Make two Row Cs.
Step 9. Add a Fabric B square to the beginning of a strip from Step 5 to make a Row D.
Step 10. Press all the Row A and Row C seams in the same direction.
Step 11. Press all the Row B and Row D seams in the opposite direction of Rows A & C.
Step 12. Sew Rows A, B, and C together. Press the seams towards Row B. Make two.
Step 13. Sew an ABC row set to the top and bottom of Row D. Press seams towards Row D.
Step 14. Sew three Fabric B 4-1/2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 4-1/2" x 56-1/2".
Step 15. Sew three Fabric C 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 2" x 56-1/2". Repeat for a total of four Fabric C accent strips.
Step 16. Sew three Fabric E 2-1/2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two accent strips 2-1/2" x 56-1/2".
Step 17. Sew three Fabric E 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut two inner border strips 2" x 56-1/2".
Step 18. Sew two Fabric E 2" strips together end-to-end, sub cut a 2" x 74-1/2" inner border strip. Repeat to make two.
Step 19. Sew a Fabric C accent strip to the top & bottom of the Fabric B accent strip. Press seams towards Fabric B. Make two.
Step 20. Sew a Fabric E accent strip to the ottom of the BC accent strip. Press seam towards Fabric C. Make two.
Step 21. Sew an accent strip to the top & bottom of the joined rows from Step 13.
Step 22. Sew a Fabric E 2" x 74-1/2" inner border strip to either side of the quilt top.
Step 23. Sew a Fabric E 2" x 59-1/2" inner border strip to the top & bottom of the quilt top.
Step 24. Sew two Fabric A 6" strips together end-to-end, trim to 6" x 77-1/2", or the height of your quilt top. Make two & attach to either side of your quilt.
Step 25. Sew two Fabric A 7" strips together end-to-end, trim to 7" x 70-1/2", or the width of your quilt top. Make two & attach to the top & bottom of your quilt.

FINISHING THE QUILT

Step 1. Cut your backing into two pieces 2-3/4yds (99") x WOF. Sew both pieces together along the selvage using a 1/2" seam allowance. Press seam open & trim to 78" x 98" or leave as is. Seam will run vertically along the quilt top.
Step 2. Layer the quilt back face down, then batting, and quilt top face up. Quilt as desired then bind with Fabric C.
