GERBERA FLOWERS

Gerbera Flowers Project

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • DCWV Paper Pads
  • Floristry Wire
  • Hot Glue Gun & glue sticks
  • 'Brother' Scan n Cut Machine (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1.Using the scan and cut machine, cut out petal shapes. For each Gerbera you will need 3 large flower shapes and 3 small flower shapes for the centre. If you don't have a scan and cut you can cut these shapes out by hand. See the template below.

Step 2.Once all your pieces are cut out, fold the edges of each petal on the large flower shapes to give it a 3D look.

Steps 3.With the smaller flower shapes carefully curl the ends of the petals inwards by rolling them in on themselves.

Step 4.Use the hot glue gun to glue the centre of the three large flower shapes, rotating the petals so they are layered.

Step 5.Glue the smaller flower shapes together using the hot glue gun, again rotating the petals.

Step 6.Cut a small circle out of a contrasting paper and glue into the centre of the smaller flowers.
Step 7. Glue the centre petals onto the larger flower shapes.

Step 8. Cut floristry wire to desired height and glue to the centre of the back of the flower.

Step 9. To finish cut a small circle of paper and glue over the top of the wire at the back of the flower to cover where it had been glued together.

Step 10. Repeat this process to create a bunch of flowers for mum!
