RUSTIC WALL HANGING
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 'Moda Vera' Malibu 8 ply 1 ball
- 4.5mm crochet hook or size required to give correct tension
- Dowel rod or similar for hanging
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
TENSION
One finished hexagon measures approx. 15 x 17cm, make any changes necessary to the size crochet hook to get correct tension.
INSTRUCTIONS
HEXAGON (make 5)
Using 4.5mm hook ch 4 and join with sl st
1st round - Ch 3, 1 tr into base of ch, 2ch,1tr into next st, 1tr into 2 ch space , rep from 5 times, 2 ch and join with sl st.
2nd round - Ch3, 1 tr into base of ch, 2tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space 2ch, 2tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space, rep from 5 times, 2 ch, join with sl st.
3rd round - Ch3, 1 tr into base of ch, 4tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space 2ch, 4tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space, rep from 5 times, 2 ch, join with sl st.
4th round - Ch3, 1 tr into base of ch, 6tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space 2ch, 6tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space, rep from 5 times, 2 ch, join with sl st.
5th round - Ch3, 1 tr into base of ch, 8tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space 2ch, 8tr into next sts, 1tr into 2 ch space, rep from 5 times, 2 ch, join with sl st.
6th round - Ch2, dc into every st, 3dc into every 2ch space, sl st to join and fasten off.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends. With a needle and thread sew the hexagons together as picture, and then fasten onto the rod using the matching yarn.
