Foundation Ch: 11ch.

Rnd 1(RS): 1dc in second ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to the end (10dc). 3dc in same ch as last dc worked. Working on the other side of the chain, 1dc in next 8 ch, 3dc in same ch as first dc worked. Sl st in first dc of rnd. (24dc) DO NOT BREAK YARN.

Wing 1 - worked separate as rows on each side.

Row 1(RS): 1ch, 1dc in next dc of rnd 1, 6ch, sk next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc, 6ch, sk next 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, turn.

Row 2(WS): 3ch, (1htr, 1ch, 1 tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1htr) in 6ch-sp, 1dc in middle of the next 2 dc, repeat from to in next 6ch-sp, turn.

Row 3(RS): 2dc in first 1 ch-sp, 2htr in next 1ch-sp, 2tr in next 1ch-sp, 1htr between next htr and dc, sl st between next dc and htr, 2htr in next 1ch-sp, 3tr in next 1ch-sp, (2htr in next 1ch-sp)twice, sl st in last dc, blind off.

Wing 2

Row 1(RS): Sk 4dc, draw up a loop, 1ch, 1dc in same st, 6ch, sk next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc, 6ch, sk next 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, turn. (the middle 2 dc should be on the opposite side of Wing 1).

Row 2(WS): 3ch, (1 tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1htr) in 6ch-sp, 1dc in middle of the next 2 dc, (1htr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1htr), in next 6ch-sp, 2ch, sl st in first dc of previous round, turn.

FINISHING

Weave in all loose ends. A light press with an iron set to suit yarn will help to flatten the butterflies.
