WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • "Moda Vera" Bamboo Cotton 50g balls 2 x 1st Colour (C1) Ivory, 2 x 2nd Colour (C2) Grape,2 x 3rd Colour (C3) Linen and 1 x 4th Colour (C4) Blue
  • A 5.50mm crochet hook, or size required for correct tension
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Tape measure

INSTRUCTIONS

SCARF

Using C1, make a magic loop.

1st row - Ch4 (counts as 1tr, 1ch, throughout), 1tr in ring, tighten ring, turn ... 3 sts.

2nd row - 4ch, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr) in 3rd turning ch, turn ... 5 sts.

3rd row - 4ch, 1tr in first tr, 1ch, 1tr in next tr, 1ch, 1tr in 3rd turning ch ... 7 sts.

4th row - 4ch, miss first tr, (1tr in next tr, 1ch) twice, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr) in 3rd turning ch... 9 sts.

5th row - 4ch, 1tr in first tr, 1ch, 1tr in next tr, rep from to end, working last tr in 3rd turning ch, turn.

6th row - 4ch, miss first tr, 1tr in next tr, 1ch, rep from to last 4ch, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr) in 3rd turning ch, turn. 5th and 6th rows form patt for rem. Work a further 71 rows patt in stripes of 1 row C1, (7 rows C2, 7 rows C3, 7rows C4, 7 rows C1) twice, the 7 rows C2 and 7 rows C3 ... 153 sts.

Fasten off.

EDGING

Using 5.50mm hook, join C2 with a sl st in any stitch. Work 1 round crab stitch evenly around all edges, taking care to keep work flat and working 3 sts in each corner, sl st in first st at beg. Fasten off.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends.
