WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 'Abbey Road' Born To Be Wool 9 (11) x 100g balls
  • 1 pair 15mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension.
  • Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

MEASUREMENTS

Sizes XS/S (S/M)

To Fit Bust: 75/85 (85/95) cm
Actual Size (approx): 95 (105) cm
Length (approx): 63 (64) cm
Sleeve Length: 32 cm

TENSION

6 1/2 sts and 9 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 15mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

BACK AND FRONT (both alike)

Using 15mm needles, cast on 31 (35) sts.

Knit 1 row (WS).

Work in stocking st, beg with a knit row until work measures 43cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark beg of armholes as there is no armhole shaping. Cont without shaping until work measures 19 (21) cm from coloured threads, ending with a purl row.

Shape Neck and Shoulders-

Next row - K12 (13), turn.

Next row - Purl to end.

Next row - Cast off 9 (10) sts, knit across all sts to end.

Next row - P12 (13), turn.

Next row - Knit to end.

Next row - Cast off 9 (10) sts, purl across all sts to end.

Cont on rem 13 (15) sts for Collar. Work in garter st until Collar measures 16cm, working last row on WS. Cast off loosely knitways.

SLEEVES

Using 15mm needles, cast on 25 (27) sts.

Knit 1 row (WS). Work in stocking st, beg with a knit row until work measures 32cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Cast off loosely.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using half mattress st, join shoulder seams, then using a flat seam, join side edges of collar. Using half mattress st, sew in Sleeves evenly between coloured threads, placing centre of Sleeve to shoulder seams. Join side and Sleeve seams.
