BED HEAD WITH TACKS

Bed Head With Tacks Project

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Measure the size of the bed head you wish to recover. Add 10cm to the length and width of each measurement and record on a piece of paper. Then cut this measurement out of your fabric using fabric scissors.

Step 2 - Lay the fabric face down onto a large table or workspace. Start on one side of the canvas and staple the fabric to the frame of the canvas using the staple gun. Staple along the edge until all fabric is secure.

Step 3 - Repeat this process on the opposite side, pulling the fabric to make sure that it is well stretched without bumps across the front part.

Step 4 - Once the 2 -sides are complete, finish the ends by folding in fabric so the corner is neat and continue securing fabric to the bed frame with the staple gun. Repeat this process for the top and bottom edges of the bed head.

Step 5 - Once your fabric is neatly secured to the bed, you can now fix the tacks. To ensure the tacks are evenly spaced, use a ruler and pen or pencil to mark the fabric with the distance you want your tacks to be apart. We measured out 2m for each tack along the very edge of the bed head frame.

Step 6 - To finish, use a hammer to lightly tab each tack through the fabrics and bed head frame. Repeat this until the entire head frame is covered.
