Step 3. Miss 1st st, slst into next st, 1dc in next 3 sts, sk 1 st, 1dc in next 4 sts, turn,
Step 4. Miss 1st st, slst into next st, 1dc in next 2 sts, sk 1 st, 1dc in next 3 sts, turn,
Step 5. 2ch, 1dc in next st, slst in next 4sts, 2ch, slst in next st.
1st wing: Turn wing upside down and with black yarn slst into the bottom of the 1st of the 15 cast on sts, starting at the wider end, slst into next st, 1dc in next 8 sts, 1fpdtr into the 1dc of row 5, 1dc into next 5 sts.
2nd wing: Turn wing upside down and back to front, with black yarn slst into the bottom of the 1st of the 15 cast on sts, at the smaller end end, slst into next st, 1dc in next 5 sts, 1fpdtr into the 1dc of row 5, 1dc into next 8 sts. Finish off.

EYES (Makes 2)

With black yarn
Step 1. 1ch, 6dc in magic circle, slst into 1st dc, Change to white yarn
Step 2. 1ch, 3dc in 1st st, 3htrs in next st, 4trs in next st, 3htrs in last st, slst into 1st dc, finish off leaving a tail long enough to sew eyes onto hat

MOUTH & TEETH (Makes 1)

With black yarn
Step 1. 13ch, finish off, leaving tails at both ends to sew mouth onto hat. Change to white yarn
Step 2. *slst into 3rd ch, 3tr cluster. Finish off, sk 1 ch repeat from * once leaving tails long enough to sew both eyes onto hat

FINISHING DIRECTIONS

Sew Ears in place at the crown, wings on either side with black facing front, then attach the eyes and mouth into place. Sew in all ends.
