INSTRUCTIONS

GHOUL MASK

Beg Main Section -

Using 4.50mm hook and C1, make 18ch.

1st row (RS) - Miss 3ch (counts as 1tr), 1tr in each ch to end, turn ... 16tr.

2nd row - 3ch (counts as 1tr), miss 1 st, 1tr in each tr to end, turn ... 16tr.

Rep 2nd row 4 times.

Fasten off C1.

Join C2 with a slip st in first st, rep 2nd row 6 times.

Fasten off C2.

Beg Side Edgings -

Using 4mm hook join C1 with a sl st in lower right-hand corner.

Working along first side edge, 1st row - 1ch (counts as 1dc), 2dc in end of each row to next corner, 1dc in corner, turn ... 26dc.

2nd row 1ch, 2dc tog, rep from to last st, 1dc in last st, turn ... 14dc.

3rd row - 1ch (counts as 1dc), 1dc in each st to end, turn.

Rep 3rd row twice, work 50ch at end of last row for strap.

Fasten off.

Work second side edging to correspond with first side edging ... 2 straps

Beg Straps -

Using 4mm hook, join C1 in first corner with no strap. Work 50ch. Fasten off.

Rep in rem corner with no strap.

EYES (make 2)

Using 4mm hook and white yarn, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 7dc in ring, sl st in first ch at beg ... 8dc.

2nd round - 1ch, 2dc in next st, (1dc in next st, 2dc in next st) 3 times, sl st in 1ch at beg.

Fasten off leaving a long end.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using long end, sew eyes securely in position as pictured. Using C1, embroider rem features as pictured. Sew in ends.

CAT MASK

Beg Main Section -

Work as for Main Section of Ghoul Mask.

EARS (make 2)

Using 4mm hook and C1, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 8dc in ring, sl st in first ch at beg ... 9dc.

2nd round - 1ch, (1htr, 1tr, 1htr) in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, rep from once, (1htr, 1tr, 1htr) in next dc, 1dc in last dc, sl st in 1ch at beg.

Fasten off leaving a long end.

NOSE

Using 4mm hook and black yarn, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 2dc in ring, (1tr, 1dc, 1tr) in ring, 2dc in ring, 1tr in ring, sl st in first ch at beg.

Fasten off.

EYES (make 2)

Using 4mm hook and orange yarn, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 7dc in ring, sl st in first ch at beg ... 8dc.

Fasten off leaving a long end.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Sew ears, nose and eyes securely in position as pictured. Using black yarn, embroider rem features as pictured. Sew in ends.

PUMPKIN MASK

Beg Main Section - Work as for main section of Ghoul mask, working in M only throughout.

EYES (make 2)

Using 4mm hook and C, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 8dc in ring, sl st in first dc at beg ... 9dc.

2nd round - 1ch, (1htr, 1tr, 1htr) in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, rep from once, (1htr, 1tr, 1htr) in next dc, 1dc in last dc, sl st in 1ch at beg.

Fasten off.

NOSE

Using 4mm hook and C, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 2dc in ring, (1tr, 1dc, 1tr) in ring, 2dc in ring, 1tr in ring, sl st in first ch at beg.

Fasten off.

MOUTH

Using 4mm hook and C, make 23ch.

1st row - 2dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 4dc, miss 2ch, 1dc in each of next 4dc, 3dc in next ch, 1dc in each of next 4dc, miss 2ch, 1dc in each of next 3dc, 2dc in last dc.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Sew eyes, nose and mouth securely in position as pictured. Sew in ends.

GHOST MASK

Beg Main Section - Work as for main section of Ghoul mask, working in M only throughout.

EYES (make 2 pieces)

Using 4mm hook and C, make a magic ring.

1st round - 1ch, 7dc in ring, sl st in first dc at beg ... 8dc.

2nd round - 1ch, 2dc in next dc, (1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc) 3 times, sl st in 1ch at beg ... 12dc.

Fasten off.

MOUTH

Work as for Mouth of Pumpkin Mask.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Sew eyes and mouth securely in position as pictured. Using C, embroider two straight stitches for Nose as pictured. Sew in ends.
